Wayne Luft came to the Methow Valley in 1946 packing horses for an outfit that ran sheep throughout the Sawtooth Range of the North Cascade Mountains. He was a professional outfitter for many years and still packs and rides into the Methow high coutry every chance he gets. These are some of the stories of the happenings that took place while packing boy scouts, families, hunters, fisherman, and friends into the Sawtooth and Pasayten Wilderness area.
